Folks, check out a new science education website -- it looks promising:

http://www.world-science.net

Here is post on a recent work by Dick Zare -- simplified a a little too much to my taste, but is better than all that the usual fluff:

Looks a little dated, but not too bad overall. Is this a new site or just something you recently found?

I've followed arstechnica for years now, though it isn't all science.

Wow, sorry about this but that site is really hard to read. It's like worse than Myspace!

Thanks for the post to the link to this site.
Yes, the site is rather outdated in terms of desgin, but many of the articles are fascintating.
I particularly was very excited when I read the article :

Scientists claim first practical “artificial leaf”
http://www.world-science.net/othernews/110328_leaf.htm

This new advancement in this field may very well revolutionize global food production methods.

Content seems pretty good. However, I wish the design was bit modern. Even navigation is poor, in my opinion. I also don't like the fact that most of the articles on even the front page seem quite outdated.

Nonetheless, content is kinda interesting.

P.S. I've always used ScienceBase for keeping myself updated with the latest breakthroughs in Science. I'd recommend their blog to any science enthusiast.
