I’m running into some problems attempting to extend python with the ezPES libraries; specifically, attempts to build shared objects from these libraries – simple enough on a 32-bit system - fail on X86-64 due to PIC issues (asking me to recompile with -fPIC). I’m not terribly comfortable completely rebuilding Python to implement static links, but I’m not sure I have many options left. Is it at all possible to find the 64bit distribution of ezPES (or just the individual PESs) compiled for position independence?
